gold, pink, crimson and many various shades in between. When Rainbow Swiss
Chard is added to salads it not only adds wonderful flavor but also
brightens up your table with the rainbow of bright colors. Rainbow Swiss
Chard is also enjoyed steamed, boiled, sautéed or fried.
Rainbow Swiss Chard seedlings
do not
transplant well, seed should be planted directly in the soil in spring
as soon as the ground can be worked.
Sow Rainbow Swiss Chard seed
½” deep and 1” apart, germination takes 7-14 days. Thin to 8” apart when
seedlings are 3” tall. Rainbow Swiss Chard will tolerate heat better if
plants are well thinned and air can circulate around them. Keep Rainbow
Swiss Chard watered and don’t let them dry out.
Rainbow Swiss
Chard is resistant to frost and can be harvested well after first frost.
When harvesting you can cut the outer leaves as you need them and leave the
inner leaves to develop and be used later.
Packet contains ½ teaspoon
Rainbow Swiss
Chard seed, approximately 125
seeds.
