Early Wonder Beets are a smooth, flattened, purplish-red globe with small tap root. Dark red interior with some light red zoning. Bright green tops are excellent for "tender greens". Germination is only 55 days. Plant Early Wonder beet seed in a sunny, well drained location as soon as the soil can be worked. Repeat every 2-3 weeks until late summer to extend your harvest. Sow seeds ˝ inch deep, 1-2 inches apart. Best to harvest when roots get 2 inches across.
