Nice yielding variety even in heavier soils. 7"
long carrots, medium orange color, tapered shape, blunt tip. Slow to bolt,
strong 16 - 18" greens.
Good eaters but some people grow Danvers for
"deer carrots" because of large yield. For the table or deer bait, either
way these are sure to please.
Sow seeds in a sunny location
with light porous soil. Plant in early Spring as soon as soil can be worked.
Repeat plantings every 2 weeks for a continued harvest. Fall plantings work
good in mild winter areas. Sow seeds sparingly. Keep soil moist and weed
free. Packet contains ½ tsp |
