Danvers carrot
is nice yielding variety even in heavier soils.
Danvers carrot seeds grow
7"
long carrots with a medium orange color, they have a tapered shape and blunt tip. Slow to bolt,
strong 16 - 18" greens.
Good eaters but some people grow Danvers for
"deer carrots" because of large yield. For the table or deer bait, either
way these are sure to please.
Sow
Danvers carrot seeds in a sunny location
with light porous soil. Plant in early spring as soon as soil can be worked.
Repeat plantings every 2 weeks for a continued harvest. Fall plantings work
good in mild winter areas. Packet contains ½ tsp
Danvers carrot seeds.
