Wallflower Seeds Biennial
Cheiranthus allionii
A short
bushy biennial that produces clusters of fiery orange flowers. It grows
to a height of 18-24" and blooms June thru August. Wallflower can
withstand dry or moist conditions once established and prefers partial
shade to full sun in well drained soils.
Butterflies are very fond of these
wildflowers. They transplant quite well and smell just wonderful. Their
delightful fragrance and beauty makes wallflower a great addition to any
flower arrangement. These plants are
very easy to grow; simply scatter the seed in spring or fall on loosened
soil, and press into the dirt; do not cover. Germination takes 14 - 28
days.
Wallflower will only get leaves its first
year. We plant rows in our garden then transplant the next year to our
flower beds.
