Sweet William Perennial
Dianthus barbatus
An outstanding perennial with delicate little fringed clusters of blossoms of red, pink, purple and violet.
Often blooming 60 to 90 days after planting and once established it will faithfully reseed so you can enjoy them every spring.
Sow seeds as early as the soil can be worked. Plant Sweet Williams in full sun to partial shade 1/16" deep and
cover with loose soil. Keep seeds moderately moist during germination. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days, thin to
6" when seedlings are 3" tall.
Sweet Williams are very sweetly scented and makes a nice cut flower with a vase life of 7 to 10 days.
