Shirley Double Poppy
Seeds
Annual
Papaver rhoeas
These delightfully scented flowers come in
brilliant shades of yellow, pink, orange and sometimes red. The petals
look like crinkled silk. For beds and borders,
Shirley Double Poppys should be
spaced 8-12 inches apart. They prefer full sun and a light, well-drained
soil that is not too fertile.
Sow Shirley Double Poppy seeds in spring, or in fall after frosts.
Fall seeding produces very early spring blooms. Sow on the surface of
moist soil, don't cover. Keep moist but not soggy and seeds will
germinate in 10-15 days. Thin to 8" apart when plants are 1-2" tall.
Packet contains ⅛ teaspoon Shirley
