Rose Mallow Annual
Lavartera Trimestris
Huge 4" pink, rose and sometimes ice white
flowers cover this multi-branching 5 foot plant. Often mistaken for a
Hibiscus this flower is absolutely breathtaking. Requires moisture with
full sun to partial shade and thrives in many different soil conditions.
Sow seeds directly outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Plant
seeds ⅛" deep and 4" apart after soil has reached 70 degrees.
Germination takes 15 to 30 days. It is very important to keep the soil
moist during germination. Thin 12-18" apart when plants are 3" tall.
Keep seedlings moist, and water plants at least once a week, more if dry
conditions persist.
