This is a mix of different colored
multi head sunflowers. Hummingbirds DO feed on sunflowers. It may not be their favorite,
but in the fall before migration they will make a sunflower garden look like a hummingbird
airport. Especially when there are not many other flowers to feed on. These sunflowers get
past 7 feet tall given the right conditions. The colors may stun your friends and
neighbors.
Plant as soon as
danger of frost has passed. Sow about
¼"
deep and keep moist until
plants emerge. Then water at least once a week. They like full sun to
partial shade, but do best in full sun. Can take short drought periods and
are very hardy.
