Mammoth Red Clover
Mammoth Red Clover is a quick growing crop
that is easily established from seed and has a high tolerance of shade.
Mammoth Red Clover will bring color to the shadiest areas. Mammoth Red
Clover may be planted alone but is more often mixed with grass seed.
Produces only one crop a year. The
flowers of Mammoth Red Clover are
therapeutically used by many. In central Europe clover has been used to
regulate digestive functions and to improve appetite.
Mammoth Red Clover
is valued for the delicate sweet flavor they
impart to herbal teas. Mammoth Red Clover combines very well with dried
rose hips, lemon, and mint.
Sow clover seed in early spring just after
your last frost. Prepare the soil you want to plant by raking smooth the
surface and sprinkle your

over that area then gently water them in the soil after sowing and
continue to keep damp until they are established. Germination takes 7-14
