The Moonflower with its old fashioned 6" flowers blooms in the late afternoon and will continue throughout the night and into the next morning.
If its a cool cloudy day the Moonflower will stay open until noon. These fragrant
flowers bloom on vines that can grow up to 20 feet.
This fast growing vine is related to the Morning Glory and when planted with the Moonflower it gives a spectacular late summer display day and night.
Sow seeds directly outdoors after danger of all frost has passed. Nick each seed with a file and / or soak for no longer than 8 hours.
Plant immediately after soaking.
Plant seeds in a sunny spot 3
inches apart and 1 inch deep. Cover seed with soil and keep moderately moist during germination.
Germination takes 10-20 days. Thin to 6" apart when plants are
2" tall. Packet contains 20
seeds!
