The Four-o'clock is named for is characteristic blooming after 4pm.
This is a mix of white, crimson, violet, yellow and striped flowers. The four-o'clock thrives in full sun and dry soil that drains well. Once established, the four-o'clock becomes a large, shrub-like plant 18 to 36 inches tall and 36 to 60 inches
wide producing hundreds of blooms beginning in late Summer and continuing until late fall. Four-o'clocks also grow great in barrels, tubs, and large pots.
Their fragrance is outstanding when in bloom.
Sow seeds directly outdoors after all
danger of frost has passed. Plant ˝" deep and 3" apart. Germination
takes 5 to 10 days. Keep the soil moderately moist during germination.
Thin to 8" apart when plants are 2 - 3 inches tall.
