The Calendula Pacific Beauty, also called
'Pot Marigold', is a very easy to
grow annual.
The Pacific Beauty has 5 inch attractive double, daisy-like flowers in shades of orange, apricot, yellow, and cream .
Pacific Beauty's are very adaptive to most soil types, as long as they are
well drained.
The soil should be kept moist but not soggy.
They bloom and perform best in cool weather.
The Calendula is a long lasting cut flower and looks great planted in masses, such as in borders, parking strips and containers.
Plant in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked.
Cover seed with ¼" fine soil. Germination takes 5 to 15 days.
Thin 12" apart when plants are
2 - 3" tall. Grows 12 to 24"
tall and likes full sun locations.
Calendula also has many excellent medicinal uses both topically and internally. To name a few: antiseptic, astringent, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, lymph and immune stimulant and as a healer for wounds, bruises, rashes, cuts and burns.
